entry forms by e mail to ppr2004@bigfoot.com, or download the entry form from the COBOC website at http://www.members.lycos.co.uk/COBOC/ The COBOC website also has some pictures from the past relays .

Airienteers are hoping to enter 2 teams from initial responses. Would like to enter more, but the one downside of the new format (personally) is that whilst the number of laps in a team has been reduced from 8 to 6 (understandable but disappointing), there is still a requirement for 2 of each gender. Like many clubs, we have a shortage of girls who are prepared/able to run this, and this is a limiting factor on the number of teams we can enter. As a result, we are likely to actually be able to run less juniors in competitive Aire teams than we would have done last year if the event had gone ahead (we did enter last year!). This situation hasn't been helped by the minimum age restrictions.

Let me guess, no non comp entries this year either?
oh yeh i remembered it was decided by 'consultation' with juniors.
If it is to increase participation with three yellow legs, thats extra runners needed first, i thoúght they were struggling to make sull teams anyways?
why was last years not run? Didnt it not get organised or something, whilst evwerything else was in place?

one of the best junior races in all of the world ever. maybe if there was just one relay of 5 people they would get more teams entering, and it might also get a bit closer at the top. and allow non-comp teams to run, maybe not win, but allow them to run.

Strange the distribution between clubs. We've actually got lots of competent girls, both in our club and the WMids. I believe we may run three in the no.1 team.
Ref Mharky's comment on non comp teams. They are available but to be put together by the organisers. Thus giving individuals the opportunity to run, but stopping a group of squaddies getting together and taking over the event. These have their opportunities to run in many events, this is for clubs and gives club members who do not normally take part in elite events an opportunity to experience the big race atmosphere.

i agree, why make the event smaller???
North East Junior Squad enterd a team a while back, and i think that great, SOC dont have enough juniors to have a team, so i think its fair they can join up with BKO or BADO or TVOC or somthing to get a team. its the taking part that counts.

no, your right, so if scotland tries to entre a team this year you can say, no, only adjacent clubs. fair enough. but you should have stipulated this in the first place, instead of just saying no non.competative teams.
and dont ever call me scottish

Me I'm slightly involve in the organising and want as many juniors to get the experience. Although as my part is to do with the SI, the 3 yellow runners may cause a slightproblem. But it is being sorted I think. As for Sarum having a team. I have no comment, they are just as entitled to as any other club.

in my club in scotland there are perhaps 2 juniors who would run pp's or make the huge journey south, In the adjecent club lets see STAG - they have NO juniors that would go south. , the next adjacent club is INT, again no juniors, FVO - they have maybe 2 that would make the journey.. see a pattern? Logisitcal nightmare. So even if clubs joined it would end up being Southern Scotland, and Northern Scotlanf (on the basis of two - teams being entered)
Peter plamers is about allowing junior particpation, but non comp teams are arranged by organisers, so friends and people who would want to together are expected to pay min £50 to get go to the event on the trust that they will be in a full team?
They should scrap clubs and make it areas or regions, although perhaps some handicap to prevent all mw18's of one region running and destroying the field.
PP's is a very good event, i would like nothing better than to see it suceeding, ánd the event has a LOT of potential. Something needs to be done though.
