Excellent Kent Night Cup last night at Kings Hill, Kent. Must have been 50 people there as well.
I learned afterwards that Saxons are planning a permanent orienteering course in Kings Hill. Kings Hill is an urban area, a mix of shops, offices, modern housing estate and a few small patches of open area and wood. And the map is ISOwhateverthingy urban format. Would this make it the first urban permanent course in the UK, or is there one somewhere else?
Kings Hill is managed by a property company rather than the local council and they are keen on the idea. The course could prove popular with local scout groups and office types looking for team building activities.
Next weeks KNC is at Jeskyns and Ashenbank near Gravesend. The map is being updated and it's near the A2, so potentially easy to reach for those that live in Essex or East London*
*by car, but lifts can be arranged from Ebbsfleet/Gravesend.

I left a big pile of maps at reception, but that was a few year ago now.
