start times for classes on the same course
If two classes run the same course, shouldn't this be organised in such a way as to prevent two people running the same course starting at the same time?

I started at pretty much the same time at Cat Taylor (On Green) on Day 1 and we were together for all of about 2 seconds.

Re: start times for classes on the same course
I did an event on Darnaway 2 years ago and I wasn't allowed to start my brown course because the minute before me someone had started on the green and we had the same first control...

Re: start times for classes on the same course
So now I know what is being referred to.
Apparently M18L and M50L are running the same course (although one is on a 1:10,000 map and one on 1:7,500). Competitors in each class sometimes start on the same minute.
This is not good practice. Surely they should, at the very least, have a different first control? Bart did enjoy burning off a few old men today though...
Now this is common knowledge I expect the M18's will be looking closely at the M50 start list.
