I always wondered last year what we should do if a course is voided near the end of the series. The rules do not cover it.
So this year the whole November Classic is cancelled. The rule group is I suspect disbanded.
We could remain scoring the best 8 from the remaining 18 events, thus disenfranchising anyone that was intending to get their 8 in the last 2 events.
Alternatively I could change it to the top 7 scores thus potentially meaning that someone that has done enough to win to suddenly be beaten.
Personally I'd leave it as it is, but what does anyone think?

Re: UK Masters Cup
Suggest leave as it is. Leaving achievement of your last 8 till the year end is playing hostage to fortune (injury and other things than cancellation) and we are also so near end of 2012 it would be unusual to change rules now.

I agree, suggest leaving it as it is this year.
Hopefully the rules of the UKOL will include some clarity on this issue, as the rules of the UKCup do.

Re: UK Masters Cup
UKCup will be no more for next year. Rules were clear and in case of any issues not covered by them ECG were consulted by email and decision made within days. The nature of competitions like this is that issues do arise perhaps once or twice a year. Would not seem right to leave it to an unelected dictatorship.
That system will be no more.
New UKOL will be a non-event for elite who will pick and choose. No doubt Autumn events such as November Classic will be non starters as elite are in active recovery or background training then. So be it - no doubt the new Events Committee know better.
