Re: Olympic tickets
Just seen there are more, the only thing I fancied over the 3 days we're there was diving, and this time it was £450 a ticket! No-one should have that much money to spend on a sports ticket.

Had an absolutely fabulous day at the Olympic Trials today - two British records and some great results added bonus was seeing Iwan Thomas, Denise Lewis and Colin Jackson on presentation duties and Lynn Davies and Mary Rand giving out medals - saw some Hoddies in the crowd and Ash came with us when the elder Miss H decided she'd rather got to Thailand instead. Any other orienteers there?

Yup, Me, Stodglet & Ikey Sol had fab views, Stodglet got a hug from Spike & got to test herself out in the Aviva Challenge Tent.
A good afternoon - just a shame we had to leave Stodge at home on the sofa with his tramadol, naproxen, paracetamol & dried apricots

Enjoyed the hockey yesterday. I think one day there was enough though. Saw hockey in morning, then ate overpriced food, wandered around the huge park area. Watched some large adverts I'd normally skip through on the TV at sponsor sites because there was no re entry and the orbit tickets weren't until 6 then queued briefly to enter the huge shop to find all clothes under XXL sold out. The hockey was good and it was well landscaped but they could have done with more screens for watching sport. For watching the events the huge range available on computer is best.
The screens at the event (both at the the same end about 20 min walk from the other end) were just showing adverts when we passed them.

Had the most fantastic day out yesterday . Visited the NT's new acquisition at Tredegar Park - very impressive - in the morning although it was such a beautiful day we ended up dozing post-picnic on the deck chairs in the orchard until 4pm.
Went to Cardiff and used the P and R from the City Stadium to the Millenium stadium which was a bit of a scenic tour as it's only about a mile away. Had a walk round the castle grounds and a meal at an Italian restaurant before going in via Gate 1 - the gate where you have to go across the frilly board walk along the river.
Fantastic view of the pitch considering we were only 8 rows from the roof. Very jolly family crowd of over 56,000 with a good smattering of genuine Japanese and Korean supporters to spice it up. entertaining match with Korea very dominant. some good rock music and video highlights on the big screen and I got to fulfil a B4UDIE ambition by being in a really big Mexican Wave - infact so many of them I was exhausted by the end.
Elected to walk back to the car and arrived just as a massive explosion went off - turned out to be a mega firework display to celebrate the lauch of Cardiff city's controversial new kit colours - if the fireworks are representative looks like they'll be playing in pink next season
Home before midnight - a great day out which was cool as this will be our last family outing for over a year as young Neville departs for New Zealand very shortly.

Re: Olympic tickets
After I've run at the White Rose (and done the Trail O which makes a significant logistic exercise especially as I'm commuting from Newcastle as my wife is working on saturday) and organised/planned our next Summer League on Wednesday 29th @ Killingworth -for once I've already completed the design well in advance and even have the final printed maps in my car- I've got a free trip to the Paralympics escorting our club Chairman's son courtesy of Northumberland Sport.
So a slightly less crowded chamce to see the Olympic Park.

Possibly the slowest Orienteer in the NE but maybe above average at 114kg

Go to the Acer sponsor building. Their 3D hologram man and the computer games you can play there won our best sponsor tent award.
