WSX member and Bournemouth Area SUSTRANS officer Jason Falconer was knocked off his bike a week or so ago and according to news reports was still in hospital a few days ago.
Sad news, I only new Jason a little bit from local events when I was living in Bournemouth, but he's a super nice guy who does loads of good work promoting outdoor activities in the Dorset area.
Hope he makes a full recovery.

Re: Orienteer in cycling accident
Hope Jason makes a full recovery. I knew him through orienteering too and he's an enthusiastic, great guy.
Don't live anywhere near Bournemouth so if those in the area can keep us updated, that would be great.

Re: Orienteer in cycling accident
Jason was in a pretty serious state - op to remove a blood clot on the brain, but seems to be making a pretty remarkable recovery. He was transfered back to Poole a week or so ago and seemed to be in pretty good shape when I visited him on Friday. Heard yesterday that he is now recuperating back at home.
