The BUSA eligibilty rules are here (section seven being the relevant part of a longish document).
The two most important rules seem to be:
I could not see the Open University on the list of members (section three) and I am only vaguely familiar with the credit system.

7.1.1 Be an internally registered student at an institution of Higher Education that holds current membership of the Association;
7.1.3 Be undertaking a study programme equivalent to at least 60 credits per year, or in the case of a postgraduate student be undertaking a study programme of no less than 50% of the full time student programme

i was at a non orienteering uni and its not a prob to enter, just need to enter, download the form and have the uni sports union sign it before u send it off. and it needs to be a uni associated to busa.
