Good luck with any stream crossings...
Outbreaks of rain will be heavy at times on Friday afternoon and evening and also for a time on Saturday. The heaviest rain will be over more eastern parts of Northern Ireland and will be accompanied by strong easterly winds.
The public should be aware of the risk of localised flooding.

Re: Veteran Home International
Stolen from SOA website:
Points results from the VHI
The race results are now loaded up on the Tollymore O’Fest website. The points for the VHI have been provisionally calculated and show that Scotland came second in both the Individual and Relay events.
Provisional points scores (based on published provisional results) are:
Individual (Men + Women = Total)
1. England 71 + 69 =140
2. Scotland 62 + 58 = 120
3. Wales 38 + 51 = 89
4. Ireland 39 + 34 = 73
Relays (Class MWM + Class WMW = Total)
1. England 56 + 62 = 118
2. Scotland 56 + 44 = 100
3. Wales 22 + 34 = 56
4. Ireland 22 + 16 = 38
Overall
1. England 258
2. Scotland 220
3. Wales 145
4. Ireland 111
So Scotland wll have to wait for next year's VHI (to be held in England) to see if they can bring back a VHI Trophy.

Full results here.

If anyone is doing a relay, it's worth looking at how they've presented the results, and done the routegadget: absolutely exemplary making it entirely possible to see how the race went, miles ahead of anything I've ever seen in Great Britain.

Not totally exemplary. I certainly didn't take 12 hrs and 24 mins for 1st leg! Possibly because of this timimg error my second leg runner doesn't even appear in results.

Re: Veteran Home International
Kind of agree with Jethro (you'd think they could have manually removed the 12 hours before publishing!)- if you werent there and dont know who's in each team, the results by leg are quite difficult to follow - I probably prefer the old style of all being on the one page. Winsplits is unfathomable.
I like how its done on RG with the gaffles shown but didnt we have this at the Scottish too?

Re: Veteran Home International
Jukola does Routegadget the same way - so you only need to select a leg number, and it shows all the people and course combinations (gaffles) on that leg. In fact Jukola Routegadget has an extra feature, which is the ability to show each control split individually (i.e. all the dots wait at each control for a new mass start to the next one, which is good).

Re: Veteran Home International
According to someone more knowledgable than I in the vagaries of SI tells me that my timing problem was caused by the way that the organisers had set the base time for the event.....
Apart from that minor problem the relays were a great suceess, good head to head racing, a good spectator control/run through and at least one classic sprint finish. Using the new format for the VHI relays also meant it was easy to work out team positions.

Could someone who knows how to do this in routegadget get in touch with me please? I am the planner for this weekend's Junior Inter-Regional Champs relays and I would love to be able to present routes in this way, but don't know how.
