Just watched Nick stagger into the 1912 Olympic stadion to take 12th in the Stockholm Marathon. Not being the fastest marathon course and also not being ideal marathon conditions (it was hot) Nick ran an impressive 2hrs33mins. 7 mins quicker than he had hoped for. This after a tough week of Lång SM, taking second behind Freddy Löwegren in Stockholm City Cup etapp 3 and winning our club "terräng" running champs.
Anyway well done to Nick. He even beat the first girl by a couple of minutes this year. Looking good for EOC next month.
Barrel belly 12th in Stockholm Marathon!

just mean he's running well. to get 2h33 and with not even training specifically for it and after a crazy hard week he's obviously in good shape. at EOC i believe he will be running long middle sprint and relay. there are only 6 guys selected so everyone can run everything unless they choose not to.

it's about a month til EOC. you haven't seen his programme, the man is insane and there is more craziness to come believe me. I reckon he knows his own body tho. He must otherwise he wouldn't have done 2 marathons (SM lång is prob nearly equiv!) and tonnes of other stuff in one week. think he's taking it easy this week and coming to terms with turning 30!
i followed your advice (from Feb.) and opted out of the marathon Kitch but it's only 2 weeks now til World Studs. and less til Jukola. maybe unwise to do Jukola but i won't watch the whole mens and of course be sensible on the ferry back!

If the man can do it then all credit.
I assume all this is focussed at WOC and not EOC.
Racing at Jukola will be really good prep.
have a belter
and you have spotted the potential pit falls, so stick to your guns on those.
nice location btw
cheers
