basically they left out the gods, pieced together a plot from about 20 different sources, crammed a 12 year war into about 2 week, changed the sexuality of some of the main charachters (couldnt have a gay hero, oooooh no), left out achilles being semi-immortal and why, and generally made up a film 'loosely based' on the iliad which only covers a very small part of the trojan war

just saw harry potter was ok
secret window was quite good but just an average steven king short story really.

the punisher looks good next

Somewhat disappointed in HP3 - the special effects where very Ray Harryhausen and thought Hogsmead looked like a Christmas Grotto - i was expecting something really special like our first glimpse of Diagon Alley. It all seemed a bit dull and bleak - I know the books get bleaker but given the material there's no excuse for dullness

harry potter was OK, but harry's acting is still really "wooden", the film was nothing special really.

troy was also OK, but a bit long....

eternal sunshine of a spotless mine was quite good, but a bit confusing at times.

the day after tomorrow was better than i thought it was gonna be, cos i'd heard it got really bad reviews, but the ending is really cheesy.

ahhhh, that makes me look like a right lazy nope, 4 films! but it's my friends....they all went to the cinema for their birthdays.....i promise!!!! honestly!

i haven't seen touching the void yet, but it looks really good, and the reviews are pretty good too.

"Touching the Void" is an excellent film, but not good fun - it is visually stunning, and you can't stop watching, but it is harrowing. Definitely not one to watch before you go climbing!

Harry Potter 3 was better than the first two, but really that is not saying much.
Buckbeak was fairly good, owls nice and acting of the children is getting better. However it really did not reflect the magic of the book. Also not sure it would make much sense to anyone who had not read the book.

9 euros (who pinched the euro symbol from this keyboard?) in the Kinoplex in Bonn. However the price would have been a lot less if we had seen it at some other time than a Friday evening. My friends kindly picked the English language version without mid film interval (which seem rather common in German cinemas, even for shorter films).

£5 or more in Surrey/Berks/Hants for nice big posh cinemas. They shut down all the ickle £3.50 places

Student tickets in Cov £4.40 (it's about the same in Leam but only mon-thurs and it's a nasty cinema where you have to look upwards to see the rather small screen)

Centre of London was about £8
