Me too. Blonde Bomshell/SJC: your comments say more about how little you appear to know about the club than they say about SYO itself. A pity that you've dragged what was a thread with a genuine enquiry down to such a level.

Are we going to have a new rule that people can only join a club if they fit the implied description in the club name? I can see that causing a few problems in the West Mids

Lightening more - OD's could all claim to be "droobers" (one definition of which is I believe a "foolish person" -they're orienteers QED) and the majority will have eight fingers (hence "Octavian" in that respect even if they didn't go to Henry VIII school).
Most HOC members seem to be colourful characters......
Don't know about the potters (except potty=orienteer as above?)
