Just reading final details for Saturday and the bit about eligibility for prizes.
It says about British Citizenship being confirmed by competitors at time of entry. I don't remember doing this. Or does the country code we have cover it? Should we bring our passports?!

Re: British Night Championships
The BOF ruling on eligibility has changed this year. It means that some people who aren't UK citizens are not now eligible for prizes. Unfortuantely not many people spotted this change in Focus and so we have a few entrants who belong to UK clubs who are now ineligible. This was written to remind them that they need to ensure they have declared themselves Non Comp. As of yet only one person has! Come on the rest of you who this applies to!

Sorry to be thick but you're requiring ineligible competitors to declare themselves to be so rather than the vast majority confirming they are National members and British Citizens?

I suspect Tatty would rather be inundated by up to 10 notifications of ineligibilty than
by 280 notifications of eligibilty. The only "problem" may be that the up to 10 probably aren't "noppers"

Re: British Night Championships
Sky Sports have asked to come and film at the event
Bring it on. All the controls out, car park sorted, weather sorted. What more do you need?

Re: British Night Championships
I would say you need a plan for what sky sports are going to film, make sure they don't go for the "here's a bunch of weirdos" angle, or spend 10 minutes covering how to operate a a dibber. Hope it goes well!

Re: British Night Championships
The coverage two weeks ago and in the snow a week ago was positive and well balanced between elite and recreation. It gave a good impression of the sport. They had some great shots at night (night cameras) and in the snow and some good one liners - especially from Sarah Rollins. If it is the same reporter I am sure it will be ok - she seemed sold on the sport "I'd like to come back and try this myself".
Probably only a 3 minute slot at the end of each hour on Sky Sports News.

Re: British Night Championships
Just wanted to say thanks for everyone involved in the British Nights. Really enjoyed the event - the assembly area was great and the course was a good challenge (i.e. got a bit lost a few times) and all the officials were really welcoming - just what was needed after the long drive from Scotland by myself.
Thanks to all who helped last night and I hope I get a chance to come back down to the SARUM area again in the near future.
Cheers
Kerry.

Re: British Night Championships
Lucky BNC courses were not voided - decision to put a 0 in front of control code caused problems for several competitors - so control code 81 (from description sheet) was 081 on control, but could be read as 180. I do not remember any line being under control code. This problem happened on several control codes ie 61 could have been read as 190.

Re: British Night Championships
I see that the BO "press release" has opted to spell the name of the
Open Men's Champion as Mark Bowen, instead of the correct Mark Bown
