A pity the A22 was blocked. Pictures from control collectors:

Re: Chelwood
Crickey, with snow that slight I find it hard to see us cancelling up here. I've driven to Deeside night league events with more than that on the road.

Eddie
I understand there was a multiple crash involving a number of cars and a jack knifed articulated lorry which closed the A23 road through Forest Row in the early hours of Sunday . It was ice, and the resulting RTA rather than snow that made the area inaccessable from the north. The police had closed the road !
What is an organiser expected to do in such circumstance ?
Regrettable but, in the circumstances, the correct decision appears to have been taken. You cannot allow folk to travel in the hope that the main road will be opened in time.

From the DFOK website:
"Event rearranged for Sunday 12th Feb. Entries have re-opened on Fabian. Anyone who is unable to attend as a result of the revised date, can request a refund via Fabian."

Re: Chelwood
While we tend to find something in the inability to cope with snow in the Southlands, it is worth remembering last winter and the M8..
I only got home that night because (in a JK area) I was in front of a BMW. The rear wheel drive failed on an entrance ramp. Snow nuggers us up too.
Funnily enough, in all the years I was in the WMOA we hardly saw the stuff.

Re: Chelwood
Thank you to everyone involved in putting on the Chelwood event. Thank you for persevering and setting up for the second time! I had a very enjoyable run and found not having to look at the paths on the map quite liberating.
