Is anyone interested in the final of our premier club competition (TM) this weekend?
The bookies have long since stopped taking bets on an SYO and FVO fourpeat, but could the phrases "dodgy pint" and "JonX nuptuals" come back to haunt them

Looking at the start lists there are a few too close starts for members of the same club ,(as far as I'm concermed). Not against the rules as they say not adjacent but in my mind two minutes is too close

OK I'm going to stick my neck out here and predict that INT will agonisingly fall 10 points or so short of FVO for the Trophy with SYO taking the cup.

I'm impressed with the strength of the INT team this year who I think will weed out a couple of their lower scores from last year due to increased depth. FVO probably will be too strong overall although their team is quite top heavy and they might miss Martin Dean if he's still injured.

I'm not ignoring EPOC who came 2nd last year - dont know enough about their team, but suspect they will have to improve on their score from last year to hold onto 2nd from INT this time.

Clyde are sending a stronger team down this year too, so dont write us off, but realistically we dont have the depth to counter any below par runs and are relying on top performances from all our likely counters to improve on last years 6th.

I don't think Young Neville will get a foot in the Golden Boot this year as he has a dodgy ankle and may not make it round. Will Spookster hang on to it for yet another year or are there some whippersnappers out there?

James Logue is running for EPOC this year and their juniors are a little stronger, didn't see John Emburey though. INT may take a few poits off FVO. Could be interesting.

SYO looks strong throughout with 20+ on the mens brown and 20+ on mens blue!

May I be the first to congratulate DVO on an excellent event today. It looked very well organised. Beautiful assembly field with fantastic views and me and Mr H thoroughly enjoyed our courses. Didn't stay right to the end so don't know who won, hope the presentations went off okay. Well done everyone
