I really hate this new style forum - it's the colour of poo!
And your car is ****
I want my money back. Thanks for ruining Nopesport!
What happened to the podcasts - they were the best bit!
I advise everyone to ignore this new board and go back to using the old board. then maybe they'll see sense!

The sport's going to hell in a hand cart and you're all worried about flashing blobs and dirty background
.....mind you it does look like it needs scrubbing with a strong bleach solution
I am personally extremely grateful for the ruled lines on on the reply page which help me write straight.

Re: Forum Upgrade
The time taken for the page to load is the problem of the team over at BOF.
Yes ~ there is a problem with BOF web site response times. But these URL were loading in under 30seconds before the change so I think your latest Nopesport revamp has compounded the problem.
I wonder if anyone else feels that Nopesport is slower than it was.

are you talking about the BOF webpage loading or the URL text appearing within nopesport? If the former then as pyrat says it's nothing to do with nopesport.

I haven't noticed any change

The link works in about .5 of a second for me!

Thanks for that confirmation Andypat
Perhaps the fact that SUFFOC has one of the slowest broadband connections in the country is a factor.
I am also if I try to edit a post the system now hangs for about a minute.
If however I am just flipping between topics the response times are fine

Re: Forum Upgrade
Apart from the colours (which I don't like either), it seems that I'm getting different behaviour from before when I click on a thread with new posts: previously I got taken straight to the first unread post when I clicked on the name of the thread, now I seem to get taken to the start of the thread regardless. I've checked that I'm shown as logged in (if I wasn't then I wouldn't be able to post this); am I doing something wrong, since going to the first unread post (especially on a long thread) is surely what's intended?

The flashing blob is for popular threads (the equivalent to the old "scrolling").

For the first unread post you need to click on the little rectangle thing to the left of the thread name - I think it was the same on old system.
Pyrat: you need to set DirectoryIndex for forum.nopesport.com - at the moment it's trying to load index.html and 404ing.

The forum url from the Nopesport front page seems to be broken.

It may well indicate popular threads but I want to turn them off as they are rather distracting and annoying

Right that's it. Finito. I'm never using this board again. Except for this message obviously.
If I want to talk about orienteering from now on I'm going to use a pen and paper and cellotape my idea to a passing vole. Hopefully in 3 days time it will have found its way to Ed Nicholas at BOF towers.
If this new board is so great then why is the stain of Tabasco sauce on the left hand side the same dimensions as the stain on the right. Its just too much of a coincidence if you ask me.
They wouldnt even let us say SI Card on here. Talk about censorship gone mad.

It may be coincidence of course, but the RSS feed stopped working at the time of the upgrade. (I normally follow Nopesport via Google Reader.)

Yep the RSS feeds functionality has been removed in favour of ATOM feed functionality, will add links to these atom feeds ASAP.
