Coast to Coast
Just seen the videos on the web site http://www.adidas-ar.com/2011/ of the race that was over the weekend. Far as can see there were 3 orienteers competing and they were all in the top 2 teams!
Well done to Dan, Matt and Bruce - looks awesome!

I stand corrected - what a lot of talented orienteers!

Haha, was going to be useful so I could drill it on the front, but ended up just sitting in Maria's wheel for the whole stage!!
Amazng race through stunning, changeable scenery (Lake District, Dales and NY Moors) and would thoroughly recommend it when it returns in 2013.

Re: Coast to Coast
Watched it on Channel 4 on Sunday (the first part). Thought they covered it really well, didn't concentrate too much on the star James Cracknell, even mentioned the 'O' word once! Awesome scenery - ! Lots of human interest e.g. John Houlihan's comments about outdoor playground, the battle between Team Adidas Terrex (Bruce Duncan, James Cracknell, Nicola McC) and Team Accelerate (the Haliday whippets(!) and Maria L), the cramp coming out the water, the competition between the 2 leading ladies. Lots packed into a (too) short programme. Was the bit showing Stu Lynch running downhill speeded up? Does anyone run that fast?
Can'y wait until the second part next Sunday - and for anyone who missed the first episode it is repeated in the early hours of Wednesday morning this week on Channel 4. Not exactly peak viewing time but recorders could be set!

ps I realise not exactly orienteering but of interest to orienteers as most of the top runners/teams are O club members.
