Sorry for not posting this in travel, but it doesn't look like anyone goes there anymore.
I am coming home for a visit in September and have rather complex plans, and was wondering if anyone could help me with a couple of things.
1) London types: I need my Visa to be redelivered somewhere, all the usual suspects just so happen to be out of the country. All you would need is a place you're going to be (eg, work), preferably easily attainable by Tube, and my Driving Licence, which I can drop with you on the 7th or 8th September. The visa should be delivered the next week (While I'm in Scotland), and then I can pick it up from you on the 19th. It should probably be someone I know personally that volunteers for this.
2) Can anyone give me a ride from Edinburgh to the Cambus O' May SOL, and can someone else give me a ride afterwards to a place I can get the train to Duirinish? Inverness would be ideal, depending on my parent's plans a swift ride to Stirling may also do the trick.
Thanks in advance!

Bump! So I'm sorted for London (thanks Jayne!) but could still do with figuring out whether I can make it to Cambus O' May or not. Can anyone help me out?
To recap, I'm looking for a lift up there from Edinburgh, and then a lift to somewhere like Inverness, then I can get a train to Duirinish. There's a 5.55pm train from Inverness to Duirinish. Anyone?

I can't believe it will be hard to get a lift to Inverness on the day. I could take you to Elgin if all else fails.

I can't believe it either really, but if it does happen than Deeside is just about the most awkward place to be stuck for public transport. So it'd be good to have some semblance of a plan at least. If we can make it to Elgin station just before 5 then that'd work, so thanks!

Becks - we'll make sure you get an early start in Cambus so you can even catch a bus to Aberdeen then train to Inverness if all other options fail (eg hill roads shut with snow......)

If you send an email to our club secretary, (http://esoc.org.uk/home/contacts/), she will send the request around our club members. I am sure someone should be able to help.
