World of O's usual excellent, comprehensive coverage is getting up and running - page will be updated throughout the week.

Re: World Championships
Eeeeee! Can't wait! Especially excited about our sprint teams, who mostly ran some seriously impressive 5km times last week. Massively excited about everything though.
Edit: I just realised that might have implied someone ran a bad 5km. All I meant is that the ones who did run one were really good.
Scott: 14.37
Murray: 14.54
GG: 15.02
Tessa: 17.59

Will? We've got proper fire now!

Re: World Championships
Looking forward to being there!
A little apprehensive about the terrain & competing in the spectator races having read about the difficulties people have had out there in training, but can't wait to wave the union jack, ring the cow bells & see the stars in action

Gutted that we can't be there!
Wave those flags and ring those bells extra hard for us.

Go Tess
Sorry we are not there. Hope Stodgetta will give you an extra cheer from us. It is great to be a spectator at a World Champs. We did Denmark and it was entralling.
Good luck to all but especially Tess

Diets and fitness are no good if you can't read the map.

Re: World Championships
Just looked at the latest WOC bulletin, section 17 says Long Distance Final map size 43mm x 26mm (microscopes)!! Map scale 1:15,000, despite the protest for 1:10,000 maps to be used. Is anyone considering running with the 1.5 bifocal magnifiers - used very sucessfully by us oldies?
Good luck, wish I was there.

Re: World Championships
I land at Geneva at 10am on Saturday.
I know I can quickly jump on a train to Aix le Bains or Chambery pretty quickly but am stuck as to how I get from there to the Long Qualifyer spectator.
If anyone could possibly help me out with a lift there at about 11-11:30am I'd really appreciate it and am willing to pay good dosh too!

Won't having a competition area max 645m * 390m cramp the planner's style somewhat?

Re: World Championships
IOF are evidently introducing ultrasprint to WOC a few years earlier than the other proposed changes!
WOC and the premier league starting? It's an exciting week!
