Who would be interested in using bussing at multiday events?
Would you be interested at JK2005 when the event centre has campsite, food from Wilfs and a bar open every night? Think no travelling by car over the Easter holiday.
Bussing for multiday events.

I think its a good idea, but it would only work if a lot of people use it. There probably wouldn't be enough demand to keep a constant time table of buses, rather waiting for them to be full and then leaving, like at any event we get bussed at. The campsite would also have to be good so people would actually want to stay there, this means propber toilets, washrooms and showers on sight, with ligths for night time. Also need a shop or somthing near for people to buy food. And not have it on a flood plain.
A great idea if it works

It's a good idea in general, not just for the JK but for multi-day events as well - takes cars off the roads, and helps the organisers as they wouldn't have to find as big a space for car parking at the areas. Would also reduce problems with the car parking like at the JK this year if there were less cars around.

Think GG has a point though, it only works if the areas are relatively close to the event centre - otherwise people will always choose the comfort of their car for anything over around 25 minutes. Long distances will also make bussing expensive. The only event I've been to where there was bussing was the Czech, which was a ride of around 25 minutes to the same assembly area each day, with the loops of the courses in a different direction each day.
Bussing is a fantastic idea in the right event, but perhaps foolish in ones such as our JK next year.

I suppose it should be done at welsh, scottish etc.
