Orienteering at People
Miner raised it by asking if Ray Demense was a person or a place (paraphrased). I add to that Alan Moor also in Northumbria and ask where else are peoples names orienteering venues?
Possibly the slowest Orienteer in the NE but maybe above average at 114kg

Brampton Bryan
....... what's more you can visit Bryan on May 28th as Day 1 of Springtime in Shropshire - and that's just the start of it

Staying with SinS, I suppose Mortimer Forest itself qualifies.
In Scotland how about Glen Tanar, Glen Affric, Glen Aray, Glen Fearder, Glen Dye, etc. or Linn of Tummel?
Then, in East Anglia you have Brandon Park, in the New Forest Denny Lodge, in North Wales Pandora and in Cheshire Primrose Hill.

I should have remembered that one.
I look forward to S in S and seeing Mrs H in Brampton Bryan.
I should also note that Nato are at Blyth Beach in April as I think my wife is the organiser and marital disharmony might result if I didn't

Sandy Balls (New Forest), Ally Pally and probably quite a few Parks around the country e.g. Victoria Park (Hackney), Lloyd Park (Croydon). Stanley Park (Blackpool and elsewhere?).

Re: Orienteering at People
Some of these seem a bit far fetched, but as a test I searched for Lloyd Park on Facebook and indeed he lives in San Jose and has an interest in Seismic Skate Systems. Perhaps I should invite him as an honorary guest at our Kent Orienteering League event there in September?
Angley Wood does not exist on facebook, so can't possibly be a person, so that suggestion must be a blatent plug for the event .

Re: Orienteering at People
Anyone fancy a little fun league? -most "People Events" in a year -tie breaker of most time on course - we'd have to devise some eligibility rules ( I'd suggest the Facebook test but I doubt Ray Demense would feature and that is definitely a person's name to an uninformed spectator).
Anyone interested?

Oh I can't resist a competition - preferably with a few little side bets - I'll do the write up but just don't ask me to keep the scores
Besides might help get some extra people to Brampton Bryan at Springtime in Shropshire (there - shameless plug icon!)
