Personally it seems to me that my ability is questioned and I couldn't of possibly done as well as I did by myself.

Re: Caddihoe Chase 2010
There seems to have been a problem with communication to the organisers as HOC are running a selection race and have already been notified that junior seeding should apply.
The issue here was one that was muted many moons ago when it was realised that with electronic punching there was no need for start times. Over the years many clubs have used 30 min start blocks to cut down the admin however I think the start team ought to have used common sense and split up juniors on the course. Either putting an adult between or making sure a suitable gap existed between runners.
Unfortunately there have been instances similar to this before on selection races where runners have waited at road crossings to get a tow, but the splits do give selectors an opportunity to evaluate the situation. As a selector (not for interland) I have in the past looked at splits, to get a feel for how a competitor has performed on a particular course.
I think the lads must put it behind them and go forward and learn for the future.

Re: Caddihoe Chase 2010

Do you teenagers go to school? Your spelling and grammar is atrocious. Bart excepted.

im not trying to get you disqualified i am just trying to let you know that what you did should not be done at selection races ESPECIALLY if your both in the same club
All im saying is that selectors WILL look at splits and will be able to notice that you have ran together and you will not get an as fair selection.
I also know certain juniors who are angry with the fact that you did do what you did and i also know juniors who take it very seriously and train for weeks to be selected
i am sorry if i came across argumentative
speeeeeeedy

I shouldn't worry - my missus posted drivel like this on Nopesport in her yoof, and yet now she's even more of a pedant than I am.

Re: Caddihoe Chase 2010
Whoever put the splits graph up, that doesn't mean anything. All it shows is when people got to a control. You can go completely different ways and get there at the same time, you can also follow for 99% of the leg and get in front in the last few meters. I think Sweden are playing with the idea of using splits to disqualify people. In which case, if I'm following I'll simply sprint ahead at the controls and let the devil take the hindmost...

it shows that they got to all of the controls at exactly the same time though and they messed up all the same ones
