Some of the organising for the weekend didn't seem too good. First on the saturday there were no start times even though it was a selection race for interland. i know someone that started a minute infront of his friend from the same club, waited for him at the first control then folowed him for the rest of the course.
Was day one ment to be a middle race as some of the winning times seemed a bit quick?

Re: Caddihoe Chase 2010
The organisation seemed fine to me.
Thanks Wessex for a good event; I found it technically quite straight forward though soon realised that I should zigzag the rough open and follow the furrows (it was tough going straight). The campsite assembly was excellent and I almost made it to the shower block, though not sure if that came with the entry fee. Kids now want a caravan for future orienteering trips; they enjoyed the string course, play area and white cse too.

Re: Caddihoe Chase 2010
Apologies for Bart's little rant.
I wasn't at the event myself, but looking at Bart's maps, it appeared well planned (except perhaps for the length of courses on Day 1). Bart certainly had a good weekend, so thanks to WSX.
I think Bart does have a point regarding start times though. Surely for a selection race you have to have allocated start times (and ideally seeding)?

Re: Caddihoe Chase 2010
Barts got every right to moan I've just checked out the Blue Course splits and it does not take much time to work out the M16 and M14 that he is talking about. Hopefully the selectors for Interland will check out these results and come to the right conclusion that this was damn right cheating.

Re: Caddihoe Chase 2010
I would believe the M16 you are talking about is me?
And the M14 didn't wait at number one, he got a faster split than me to the control, I caught him at 3 overtook him and stayed ahead every single bit of the way and just couldn't lose him. What is he supposed to do, take a slower route on purpose or stop for me to get away?

Re: Caddihoe Chase 2010
i personally thought the course were quite well planned although a little short for a inter land selection race.
I must agree with bart looking at splitalyser it is very obvious which m16 and m14 ran round together and i agree that it is nothing more than cheating someone ought to notify the selectors.
apart from that exellent event thank you wessex

if you and the m14 were in the same club you cannot start a minute after him on the same course

i wont say it to your face because i dont even know who you are
im not that botherd myself to be honest
its just unfair to some of the juniors on that course who try really hard to get selected for these things

Hmmm... I tried hard clearly to get that time despite been ill, but I fail to see how I benefited from been followed by an M14?

im not saying that you didnt all that im saying is that a m16 who is better than an m14 from the same o club should not be allowed to start a minute behind that m14 due to the fact that it is obvious that you would catch the m14 up and you two can both work together to navigate and push each other physically .
