Definitely not that - he visibly went through in around 50 secs on the TV coverage. They've now taken down JD's wrong time.

If that's the case, let's hope it's demonstrably the organisers' fault - that would be one of the worst reasons to get two athletes DSQed by a picky controller.

Well it only seems to be that first control. Looks like Scott's 2-min man has caught him at the next split though

Hertner seems to be one of the fastest guys out there at the moment though - one of my tips for the top today!
Will? We've got proper fire now!

Watching the GPS, I wouldn't bet against Tambasov finishing in the top ten...

Scotia had a pretty loaded 8mins after him - Hertner, Nordberg, Lauenstein.
favourite bit today? Them showing Zinca go a-wandering en route to 3 whilst playing the benny hill show theme

Hertner appears to have stopped at 6 - I would guess injured?
Looks like Nordberg is going to catch Scotia.

JD was 2nd finisher, Kiril beat him by a few metres (Another of Mharky's training partners from Stora Tuna. He's really hard core!)

Scotia and Nordberg through the TV control (Intermediate 7.5k) together.
Hubmann has picked up quite a train!

What are these rules for DQ on following? I haven't been paying attention, is Scott at risk for keeping with Nordberg?

Tambasov is at even more risk - the majority of his splits are 4mins 2seconds behind hubmann's!

I don't think anything has changed since last year, when they gave Mamleev a bronze medal, so I think Scotia should be okay.
