does anyone think that spectras are weaker than they used to be? could it be that silva has changed the design so they break more often hence more to sell?
just asking since i know of four people who've broken them in the last fortnight - two of them pretty much brand new
silva spectra

I'd have to say they seem stronger - at least, I've not broken my new one (purchased February) yet after about 25 sessions probably whereas the last couple have probably only lasted 10 sessions or so apiece...
I'm going to break this one next time I use it now, aren't I?

I'd have to agree, I got mine when they were fairly new a few years back, and the only damages it has sustained so far is some chipping to the paint on top,
but anyone who's bought there's recently seems to have to get a new one every week.

whatever its is, its an expensive problem...

tried that once, kept pointing me the wrong way. the spectra is the daddy, i just wish i knew it was gonna last longer.
but if you had one for ages then perhaps you have an old one of the rock solid design? i had one of them but then a gypo robbed it.
