Okay what was the best bit of Extra Value Orienteering you did in 2009. By that I mean the most enjoyable/spectacular/interesting or anything else special activity you did in association with attending an orienteering event. (keep it decent)
For me it has to be my first trip to the Globe Theatre to see As you Like it when we went to London for the City Race in September

Re: Best bit of EVO
My wife and young son went to the beach at Whitstable when I was doing the South East Middle distance champs, then they picked me up and we went for a lovely meal in Canterbury.
Mrs H - EVO hasn't really stuck. However a "this is how you should do a regional event flier" on the BOF website would be a good thing perhaps, with a big section for "what to do for non-orienteers/after the event". We still have so much to learn about publicity.

Mr H would like to nominate the Burns Night ceilidh in Edinburgh and the evening consuming the 'good bottle of red' or two with Madmike at the White Rose.

me- the great food and beer we found at a pub near compsite at SINS and the red kites flying over the assembly area at the event that had Interland (bit boring really)
not forgetting the cup of tea some kind person gave me in the middle of the night at the Harvester

Re: Best bit of EVO
has to be fish and chips and afternoon on beach after event at sheringham, my runs are not usually quick enough to do anything than go straight home.
The YBT at Sandringham was good, helped with car parking, 7 kids runs and mine done, home for sunday roast and back in time to help collect controls and pack up. But that was last year.
