yeah i think FVO won, then it was either OD, SYO, Or WAROC - I was on second leg for HOc and was caught by them all around the spectator control or a little bit further along

looks like sheffield were in front of edinburgh - was it another nailbiting finish or did craney run away with it?

yeh it was pretty close, rocky had caught a bit on craney by the spectator control and they were announced quite close together at the pre-warning, but craney was about 20 seconds clear, murray had to sprint past OD 2ND team on the run-in!

Martin Dean (who is an M45 these days BTW) has been in the winning team for FVO in British Relays before, about 20 years or so ago!
Do we think anyone has had a longer gap between first and most recent win before? Tim Tett maybe?

Back to previous thread,
Sarum won W18 with Stefi Blomquist Emily Benham Ruth Holmes who belong to 'geographically adjacent clubs' and came in 15 minutes ahead of the next competitive team. The team that came second was non competitve because Lizzy Britton ran twice. If the juniors run as mergerd clubs then it brings the point of why have the separte JIRC relays as the teams would be effectivly the same. It also defeats the sense of club loyatly to some extent.
(apart from that JIRCs are the highlight of the Junior orineteering year)

Stefanie, Emily and Ruth all belong to Sarum! Ruth joined last year and Stefanie before then. so its not the adjacent club rule at all. However I think that in the past Gramar have run a team when there has also been a Grampian team. Isn't that against the spirit? Pot-hunting perhaps!! How would the other guys in Grampian feel when their places are taken by Maroc runners? I wonder?
