Does anyone know anything about WorldWideFlights.com. They seem to offer some incredibly cheap flights.
Does anyone know if they are kosha? and am I covered if they (or the airline) go bust?

Re: Flight bookings
If they and/or the airline are members of ATOL I think you are. You can check whether they are members on the ATOL website.

Re: Flight bookings
The catch is that they are advertising the cheapest fare for each flight whether or not it is available. If you do a search and click on a fare you get this:
"Please Note: The data displayed in this web site is NOT a display of AVAILABLE flights but is a database of prices and should be used as a means of researching the best fares for a given journey on a date or range of dates. Once a suitable fare has been found, it will be necessary to contact the travel agent to check if seats are available on the date you wish to travel. All airlines sell only a limited number of seats at the lowest fare on each flight. When these have been sold, you may be offered a seat at a higher fare. However, the price will NOT be removed from the fares database as the cheaper seats may still be available on other dates or subsequently become available again due to the airlines releasing more seats at the lowest fares due to fluctuations of supply and demand."

Re: Flight bookings
Ah butI rang them Mike, and they are offering me the publshed prices - it's just that they are clearly Indian sub-continentals, and I just wanted to check. They don't appear to register on the ATOL site.

Gordon,
If you have some cunning way of getting to WMOC at a decent price, could you share it with the rest of us please? The best I can find at the moment is £750 return but I'm hoping it will come down to nearer £500 later on. Is this a vain hope?

Re: Flight bookings
David,
I checked with http://www.saga.co.uk 0871 472 5117 for going out on Oct 6th rtn Oct 19th (or around these dates). Best fare was £570 inc tax with ETIHAD via Abu Dahbi, next was about £650 inc tax with Malaysian.....
Or Virgin..... 105000 air miles

Saga are linked in with lastminute.com... I don't think you'll get a better fare elsewhere, only problem is that you'll get kilos of brochures through the post!
PS - just put same info into the ETIHAD website and it shows a fare of £995.

Re: Flight bookings
I rang ATOL regarding the company and they were positive about them so I went ahead.
Well I got a really good deal even though they tried to land a £30 booking fee on me at the end of the process. I refused, but because it seemed so good eventually agreed to pay £15 excess.
My flight is via Seoul and includes a hotel stop off all for £521. They also offer via Kuala Lumpa for not much more.

Re: Flight bookings
Booked with http://www.travelbag.co.uk flying with Asiana Airlines (Star Alliance) - via Seoul. Includes overnight hotel on way back as there is 18 hrs at airport (way there is only 4 hours at Seoul) for £485.60
Little bit sceptical of £409 price for 'selected departures' but if you are really flexible I guess you might get this price.
I still think flight prices on the premium carriers will be reduced but you'll have to wait and be flexible. If you want specific dates, then might be wise to book sooner rather than later.
