Looking at the map on the fixtures list, Mucky Puddle Wood seems to be up there with the Swiss Crag Cleaners and HOLDZ.

I can only guess that I'm a day too late to see what Mucky Puddle Wood is all about.
It reminds me that when I started orienteering and had a voracious appetite for events I tried to enter a badge event on Lundy Island. It never occured to me that April 1st should have set some warning bells.

I can only guess that I'm a day too late to see what Mucky Puddle Wood is all about.
It reminds me that when I started orienteering and had a voracious appetite for events I tried to enter a badge event on Lundy Island. It never occured to me that April 1st should have set some warning bells.

Sorry to disappoint you all, but Mucky Puddle Wood IS an actual area!!!
It is very small (approx 500m x 230m!), and LOC held an evening event there last night... 2 x loops of approx 1km each, plus a 600m taped route in the middle.
Great fun, about 30 runners plus the UVHS crowd, and it shows what you can do with a small area.......

The event indicator on the fixtures map had the event arrowed in the middle of the mudflats of Greenodd Sands.
