I just bought myself a pair of Swoops from ebay for the bargain price of £27 including postage, and have just worn them for the first time in The Stoop fell race and they were great!
I'll admit they had no grip on the ice, but i don't think anything with less than crampon size spikes would have stood a chance.
Glad to have finally got a pair of shoes which can be worn whilst o'ing on the fells, would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for shoes to be worn on non-rough areas.

For £27 is a good buy.Agree hey are very very comfortable trail shoes but don't buy them just for fell running as they are absolutely rubbish on wet rock or grass when there is any hint of a downwards slope.
I wouldn't wear them much through terrain Supersaint as the uppers aren't as durable as O shoes and so tear fairly easily (well mine did anyway!)

nah the new swoop is pish, the upper and the sole is far too soft for anything. they give me blisters now. bring back the old design, or better still the davos, smiley face et al!!

swoops
have to side with rocky on this one. i have had a pair of the new swoops since the six day and think they are great. they are well padded and wide enough to accomodate my uber fat feet. don't have any issues with grip either to be honest. all round good egg. will be interesting to see how they stand up in scummy english forests come race season though.

I've been using swoops for a long time now and while they're a little on the wide side they're great in every other aspect!

Re: Adidas Swoops
I've always found I need half a size bigger in Adidas shoes but not a full size.

Re: Adidas Swoops
I concur the swoops are a great shoe, after 2 years they are still going strong.
I have a second pair which are brand new but slightly too big. Size 14.5 although fit about a size smaller. As I'm not going to wear them I'm looking to sell them on.
Will accept £30

Re: Adidas Swoops
I've found them (Swoop 2 purchased a couple of months ago) rubbing towards the front of the instep as well - there seems to be a point where a couple of seams meet and go into the midsole there that makes rather a hard lump pointing into the shoe, which is probably the bit doing the rubbing. I never had this problem with the first-generation Swoops (or the Davos before them).
Apart from that they've been fantastically comfortable right from the first run, so I shall be persevering with them.
