Starts this weekend, at the British.
So who are this year's favourites?
Last year, 1,2,3 of SYO, EUOC, and SHUOC in both competitions.
No EUOC team in the Men's race at the weekend and no EUOC or SHUOC in the women's race, so which clubs might be able to profit ?
Other counters for the year, JK, Scottish and Harvesters.

P.S. for next year it would be good to find somebody who would like to take over looking after the UKRL from me. In particular I think it requires a bit more promotional push than I have been able to provide. Bringing in other fresh ideas, wouldn't go amiss either.
Please PM me if you are interested.

Re: 2009 UKRL
With just over a week to go until the Harvester Relays in South Wales, here's a summary of the 2009 UKRL standings and how they could change after the final race of the series.
Mens Competition
Currently leading the league with 67 points, SYO can only improve their score with a 1st or 2nd place at the Harvester. With 50 points (two wins from two races) EUOC could have won the league overall with a good Harvester result, but are not on the start list. Similarly INT, currently 3rd overall with 46 points, are not competing at the Harvester.
FVO in 4th place with 45 points will certainly be looking to move up, and only need to finish better than 10th to do so. There are 12 teams on the A Course start list, so that seems likely. A finish of 4th or better could get them 2nd overall in the league.
OD and ShUOC are currently tied in 6th place in the league, with 38 points each. Any finishing position for ShUOC will move them up, and a result of 8th or better could get them 2nd in the league.
Finally SLOW, BOK and AIRE, in 11th to 13th places currently and each with just two scores so far, will all be looking to move up the relay league with their Harvester result.
Womens Competition
Only seven womens teams are on the start list for the Harvester (SYO, OUOC, WIM, HOC, SLOW, ERYRI, SYO2), so the present UKRL standings are unlikely to change very much:
1 SYO 59
2 CLOK 45
2 AIRE 45
4 BAOC 44
4 FVO 44
6 EUOC 43
7 OUOC 25
8 NOC/LEI 23
9 SLOW 21
10 MAROC 18
With another win, SYO have a possible total score of 70 points. OUOC, who only have two scores so far, could move up significantly - a win or 2nd place at the Harvester would get them 2nd overall in the league. SLOW will also be looking to move up the league - in theory a win could get them 2nd overall, but they would need to have beaten OUOC by more than 4 points, which seems unlikely.
