2007 UK Relay League
Who publishes the up to date scores? Presumably some are now available after the JK?

Could you add a note about which events are involved this year. I am sure that the main contenders all know, but it would be interesting for the rest of us.
Thanks
JK, British, Scottish, Harvester, according to last years ECSG minutes.

... and those minutes also say it's 3 to score from 3 events, if one event gets cancelled. Hopefully the Harvester won't get cancelled, in which case it's presumably 3 to score from 4 events.

Latest scores up - taking into account today's Harvester results - subject to them being confirmed.

Congratulations to SYO With one race to go, they have an unassailable lead in both Men's and Women's competition.
As usual if anybody spots any mistakes please let me know.

yep of course, forgot about that added layer of complication. Would also explain a couple of other things that were confusing me...

Not sure if it's been noticed already, but SHUOC don't seem to have any points in the league this year despite winning the British Champs.
The reward of a thing well done is to have done it.

Must admit I'd reached the same conclusion about Joe and Andy competing for their University and Open teams in different relays, but the only rule I can find suggests to me that they should be eligible with both teams:
3.2.1. A competitor shall only compete for the open and/or closed club which is indicated on their British Orienteering membership card for that year.
What am I overlooking, and where can it be found?

One-club-only is not a BOF rule, its a UKRL rule. That's why SHUOC are British Champions.
I've no idea where/if the rules are published, but UKRL has always been like that: I'm probably the only person ever to bother asking for my (closed-club) team to be non-UKRL-comp so that I could subsequently run for my open-club Harvester team.

So who are the custodians of the UKRL rules - or are they conventions? And why don't they publish them in a easily and logically accessible location?
I'm struggling to see what exact purpose this rule/convention achieves - particularly in this age where participation in the UKRL is comparatively low.
It's not as if one club is poaching runners from another. Joe and Andy have only represented clubs which they are legitimate members of. The UKRL is a club - not an individual competition.
