As reported on the JK2008 website, the size of the entry for the men's course means that it is being split into an "Elite" (M18/20/21E) and an "Open" course, with a selection for the Elite course.
As different courses are being used for Elite and Open, only runners on the "Elite" course (course 1) will be eligible for UKCup points.
Edited to add:
This only applies to the men. There is no split Elite/Open on the women, so all W18/20/21 women (course 2) will be eligible for UKCup points.

Re: JK Sprint Race 2008
Apparently there are now about 2,600 entrants for the JK weekend, at least half of whom are going to run the Day 1 sprint race. That must be the biggest sprint race in the UK so far? With about 1,400 runners it's going to get pretty busy running around Guildford University - that practice in Venice last November could be helpful .
