its the pinnacle of the junior orienteering calendar i i don't believe no one else is excited

who do people think is the favourite and who is the dark horse?

also what are peoples personal aims, get more points than last year, beat the person thats been a place ahead of you all year , have two clean runs, win the run in......

i also think that its a great move by the middle race orgainsers to have assembly finish and start adjacent, it should create a great race atmosphere!

Indeed I'm excited too. I don't think i'd be able to put my money on anyone to take the win-loads of talent about.

Shame everything clashes at this time of the year but much as I can't wait to see how you all get on this weekend I wouldn't miss my soon-to-be-brother-in-law's wedding... Jase and I will be sitting in church with our mobiles on silent waiting for the results to be texted through...

however, there's no segregation of 18/20 this weekend, one pot for all (unless I've missed something different about this year), so it will be interesting as there are a few characters who have dominated so far, but will others have peaked in time to knock them off? should be close racing all the way, getting excited now too

As you can see, I didn't remember too many of the womens results, I was too depressed at the 15 men who beat me!!!

The course was good, crammed into a tiny bit of map, but good leg length variation, direction change, change of pace etc, all the things you should have.

Best of luck to all the juniors on tomorrows courses. They look long but Bentley is fast so expect 6 min/km at least for the men over the 12km!

and duncan then 5seconds to iain then 19seconds to joe and 10 seconds to hector...sounds pretty close!

apparently womens winning time was 26 minutes? why so short?

According to WCH website the courses were planned for 25-30 minute winning time so OK on that front.

My sincere apologies to Tess for omitting her result.

According to Elite competitions group the Jwoc selection races (FCC final) are supposed to have 25min winning time for both mens and womens middle races and for tomorrow the guidline winning times are 55-60min for the women and 65-70min for the men "in line with JWOC races"

I reckon all 4 will be about right.

Duncan is indeed an M20. I just listed the top 4 overall, for whom I knew rough times and then just reeled off what I could remember from the other results.

The results were listed as M18 and M20 even though for the weekend competition it's overall time and the age classes are combined.

The series winners are of course separate classes although points scores for this weekend are done combined I think.
