start lists are now up. Does anyone else agree that a minute between runners over 6k is crap? I know its meant to be head to head racing, but surely we'll end up following each other and gaining unfair advantages. With the visibility down some of the tracks in sherwood pines, you'll be able to see a minute.

Isn't it the usual Chasing Sprint style format? So if people catch you and you go round together you get to chase them on the next round? Sorry if it's not a chaser....haven't really been paying much attention...
Will? We've got proper fire now!

what are the alternatives? two minute start intervals would need a start block of over 3 hours, or they put a limit on the number of entries by selection or first come first served. Anyway, if you get caught a minute on the prologue it just means you'll start a minute behind whoever's caught you on the chase - and it's only positions at the end of that whic count.

yeah, shut it llewellyn! 1 min start intervals will make it quality, a proper cross country burn up. And as its sherwood and so only muppets will be making mistakes the seconds race will have loads of people well close. can you cope with the pressure???

Well...
We asked about having two minute intervals between "fast" people with slow people in between. This was vetoed by the UK cup folk.
Also, the planner is aware of the problems posed by high visibility...
Of course, all those who are complaining that "its just a cross country race" can hardly complain that 1min interval is too small

I dont think unfair advantages will be gained...
If you are caught up...
you either made a mistake
or you just aint fit enough.... this is your problem, you have to deal with it.
Chepls 1min behind me, i'll be laying booby traps for you boy! Watch out for the extra knolls!

Dont get so stressed! Its just my opinion. I dont actually think there is a better alternative and I sympothise with Graeme. Scotia-->surely having Oleg 1 min behind you could be seen as an advantage (if he catches you)?[/b]
