Just out of interest, do AIRE not have a like... yorkshireish round to go to? Seem to have been at all of the NW qualifying rounds for years... Are the NW more convenient? I know MDOC went down to WM last time, cos it same distance-ish... Well done DEE and WCOC, good luck for the final everyone

From AWK:
Hi Liz
The reason Aire have been at the NW round for 2 of the past 3 years, is that, for some unknown reason, the YH fixtures group keep scheduling the YH round at half term. We tend to have a lot of juniors away, and can't get any schools out, at this time. This year we wouldn't have even been able to raise a team, let alone one that was competitive. Also, the last time we were there, the NW round was closer to us than the YH round (but not this year).
One advantage for the NW is that we boost numbers, so more clubs usually get through.
Hope that helps.
