i think it slightly unfair to rule out HOC. we are practically unchanged from last year (no carol or tess but we didnt have tess last year) and we were 3rd, and led from control 2 of the 2nd leg to control 13 or something of the last leg. Also some of our members are very good in sutton park, and are running well at the mo (hartmann). To win would be great, but i think we can beat NOC for 2nd.
Handicap, though Dee and NOC believe they have a chance, providing they dont mis punch and they have this team i think OD could win handicap
lets say they put
Jo H (W18)
Matt H (M16)
Rob G (M16)
Harriet Batten (W14)
and then any 2 of their younger members, say helen elkington and matt elkington on orange and yellow. Looks strong to me
equally sarum could be strong, but a lack of boys may not help.
MDOC are strong, with both lucy harris and elliot malkin running well, im suprised you guys havent but in an open team a bit like
1) Lizi
2) Elliot
3) Lucy
4) Roger Bryant
5) another youngster
6) Bedders
as it could throw up a few suprises.
aire will be strong of course no doubt, but watch out for ebor, they have a good group of juniors.
Southdowns could still be strong despite having lost Luke, Tom and Matt now, it depends on how johhny Cricmore competes.
And hope we see a welsh team again, they always challenge for handicap.
any further suggestions?
and any scots gonna come and have a go?
cheap flights to brum and a weekends entertainment?

what is this HOC team? who are the DEE girlies and surely they aren't handicap?
OD looks strong, but too inconsistent to challenge for handicap place

I can only assume that by doing that it would mean that almost all of their older and more capable runners were in one team, leaving lots of younger ones without runs. So by spreading across a couple of teams, both are in with chances, one for the open and one for handicap.
Also, Lucy isn't going. But don't forget MDOC have the Beresfords and Fellbaums aswell as some others, so could have two very strong teams in.
As for Sarum, we do have a few boys coming up, Liam Howlett did very well on Glenmore tour and Tom Butt is getting older and faster! We have Matt Illman too and Jack Benham, so alongside our strong girls I reckon we have a good chance, certainly at the small clubs trophy. But I havn't seen any team lists yet.

Are the DEE team still handicap because they have very strong boys but who are their two girls?
Aire and OD both have very strong teams, but will they run in the open or handicap.
As for SARUM, don't underestimate tom and liam, they can both perform very well.
It looks as if the open will be won by a team from the handicap this year as there are lots of strong teams.
Hopefully the welsh teams will put in a good show, and maybe even a team from scotland.
I still back NOC to win though

Well as for MDOC teams, You may all shh with your scheming because I haven't decided yet, after NW tour to norway i have a lot to think about on who to put where so you can guess all you like.
Also after NW tour, Dee will be minus mr vokes, as he has fractured his arm. Also Zoe was still struggling with the running, but I would still bet on them for a v strong team (or 3)

Oh and I believe that the Dee main team was an open team, the others may be handicap. Thought dave had said there was at least one of each (they have 3 you see)

HOC teams have not been decided yet and when they are they probably will not be published
