im going but can i just say that why do people have to be so damn mean? the selectors had a tough job and i know its a horrible shock that i got in for many people..but you don't have to post it loud and clear for me to read!
It's really disheartening when you work hard towards something, (after been disapointed with poor performances earlier in the year)to hear people expressing their anger about me getting selected. Surely if the selectors made a desision they had a good enough reason to back it up! Im not sure what that reason is..but im absolutely delighted to be in the team.
I think it's sad that people have to be so insulting towards other competitors..when the whole point of the competition is enjoyment and doing well as a team! Im sorry if i don't deserve to be in the team but im going..and im going to try my best!
Well done to everyone else who got selected!
can't wait!

"Congratulations and very well done to those selected totally on merit over the two races at the BSOC, places are thoroughly deserved and our teams are strong and competitive. It will be a tremendous experience for you all to enjoy. There are, however,a few other events to work for and enjoy before then."

and from me, congrats to all of you too, glad the bickering was not transferred to here!

I understand that some people may feel upset (it's enevitable where selctions are involved) but complaining about specifically named people on a public forum is completely uncalled for keep it in the privacy of your own home!

It's a really good taste of international orienteering. The competition is strong but not unbeatable. The prize ceremonies and stuff all make the event feel very special and definitely one to remember. You'll also make lots of friends from random countries-i'm still in touch with many from 4years ago. So good luck, race hard and enjoy!

I think congratulations are due to the juniors for showing a maturity that was singularly lacking from some adults!
lets end this on a high. go out there, perform, and enjoy the experience, theres no doubting that you all deserve your selections.
