What sort of times do people do for these distances on the track - I'd be very interested to know

Sorry about my last post, it is not entirely correct as i set a new pb for the 3000 on the track this morning beating my previous record by 3 seconds.
My times are now 4.05 and 8.23
Is this about average for our age group?

well as i could never pace myself on middle distance, and have never done a 3000m... My pb for 1500m is 4.50, set over 2 years ago...havnt done one since.
As for my forte (the 400m) 54 seconds, i was so impressed with that, and G, :11.90s for 100m.

mairead that sounds really good, looking at the rankings, probably top 25 in the country so far this year outdoors!
as for me, well i can proudly say ive never run either 1500m or 3000m! not a track runner at all, but i do high jump (1.55)! will do any field event going, and hurdles and pentathlon/heptathlon, just NOT middle distance...
