I don't know anyone whose had it, but I've had a letter from Warwick Uni that I need an update asap, although I'm not sure whether I'd rather have the injection or a short case of mumps.
I suppose I'd better get my act together and apply for one.
PS: what's the word for a phobia of needles?

A few months ago all the UK universities decided to ask new students to make sure they had mumps vaccine before term starts. This is because of the huge disruption that mumps has been causing to exams for last two years, as well as the fact that some people really get very ill with it. If you're starting Uni, haven't had mumps and haven't been offered the vaccine over last 2-3 years, now would be a good time to get it. Saves you finding that mumps wrecks your next international selection plans too....
The numbers of notified cases of mumps (and this is just a fraction of the real number) can be seen by the epidemiologically minded, at

Your GP should have all your vaccinations on your medical record so I would start off by contacting them. If they are not there perhaps because you had them through the schools system you could try contacting the schools medical service for the LEA for your school and get them to send them to your GP and to tell you.

I'll try GP but most (prob. all boosters) were at school (should still have parental consent forms though I'd think) - and I bet a GP charges some ridiculous fee to read his computer
edit - gp has details - they're meant to charge but the receptionist found them for free
