No the majority of the terrain is pretty easy spur gully, except they tend to use the more complex terrain more often just because its more fun. (wouldn't you?).
All I know is the're using an area that is not so steep, has Granite pillars, and is fairly thick, that means lots of big IDENTIFIABLE rocks that can be seen from miles away above the scrub.
If you know anyone who went to WMOC 2002, they would have ran on the top map in the Final and if they stayed for the State champs the next day.
Also if you want to find out more about the Australian terrain, just talk to anyone who's competed over here in a big event, as the carnival's are generally put on a theme terrain.
