I'm ashamedly gonna say the same album - but the first real album would be silver side up, then parachutes, rush of blood, comfort in sound and i now have well over 120 decent albums, oh which i can pass on if you pm me.
my favourites are
Feeder - Echo Park
Ash - Free All Angels
Green Day - Nimrod/American Idiot
Oasis - Morning Glory
Snow Patrol - Final Straw

i bought 2 cds at once as my first cds. The first one is incredibly cool and rather unexpected for an 8 year old. It was 'Hell Freezes Over' by the mighty Eagles , however any street cred i earned was instantly destroyed by the fact that i also bought...wait for it...Backstreet's Back by the magnificently awful Backstreet Boys

backstreet boys were crap even then...i can't believe that was 8 years ago! I feel so old!
The first cd of my teenage rebel years was the Limp Bizkit one, Chocolate Starfish and the Hotdog Flavoured Water, now that was a rebellious album...o the memories, i've got it on now, its absolutely gratuitous and its fantastic!

Topof the Pops Ultimate Hits I think was the full title. Swiftly folloiwed by Shania Twain, Britney Spears, 5ive and believe it or not I seem to remember the Backstreet Boys popping up in there somewhere.
First album I still like? Travis - The Man Who, which is still better than anything they made after it.

Errrrrr I think I inherited pretty much all my CDs from my bro (Rhys, who I'm sure you all know!) I think the first one I was actually given was S-Club 7, swiftly followed by westlife and steps... What was I thinking???
