grrr, ed's posts seem to be deleted-i wasn't talking to myself!
It's a fairly prestigious schools cross country race (which happens to take part in 1 of the flattest places in the country), with schools being invited to attend. It's about a 2 mile (?) course, with 6runners on mens, 4 on womens.
Unfortunately results aren't on the web (but i have a copy!)
Ben was fastest orienteer in a time of 13.00, beating andy L and bedders by 21 and 22 seconds (respectively).
Winners in the boys were Marling (Ben Sevens team in 3rd)
In the girls it was Millfield (again!) Jo Halliday ran in this only a couple of mins down on the boys, with her team finishing 6th!
I think that's all anybody would want to know!

Good race - Quality area too!
They said at the prize giving that results would be up on the school website. (http://www.khviii.co.uk) But they're not up at the moment - they should be up soon hopefully.

I would like to point out they messed up my school's times, half of the team was 20 seconds faster than they should have been and vice versa. I actually did 13.00...just dont want Andy to have the satisfaction
But yeh it was a quality race, certainly very fast, and my school were in the top ten! Yey! Bring on next year when we will have an awesome team, should be challenging the top 3.

We did suggest to use electronic punching to make it accurate and easier

aye that would've been clever! and it would also mean there was a relay baton of sorts to hand over...it would certainly make things fairer as a few teams didnt actually touch when they handed over. Something to think about next year!

well, it was my first (and last) run at the "coventry relays" as my school calls it. It was quite weird to then end up at KHVIII school and be recognising the local area.
our school team put in the worst performance that we've ever had (around 25th). And the teachers annoyed us by moaning about performances.
