after rocky's post on compasses...
I think the design and build of integrators has been noticably poorer over the past few years, they fall apart at the arch of the foot far too easily and this happens within the first few months of use... are they just trying to sell more? my old pairs used to last me a good 2 years, the past few pairs i've had have lasted about 9months at most...

I agree. I bought a pair in January and already 4 out of the 6 dob spikes on the front of each shoe have ripped out.
The last pair I had fell to bits after over a year of lots of use (which is pretty good!) but the dob spikes were still in almost perfect shape.
I have taken them back to Ultrasport and am trying to get a new pair out of them....

I agree, after a year of use, the soles on mine have completely disintegrated. No spikes or studs left!
Although dont do to k120's instead, as after 10 runs there are gaping holes in both heels! I only have one pair of orienteering shoes, but thats definitely shoddy performance!
Give us some decent shoes!

it must be our soft southern fairy feet that make them so good! i've had mine nearly a year and they're still feeling only a couple of weeks old (although it must be said i've not done that much o'ing of late)
The reward of a thing well done is to have done it.

Nice post Mark, it made me chuckle anyway...
...then i had a strange urge to put on a pair of integrators (QUALITY) and go for a run?!

if you see them try a jalas black, same design as the tiger but not so wide, shame you cant get them in this country!
also, instead of wearing ridiculous orange shoes theyre a nice subtle, well, black!
