Have any rich orienteers bought or tried out one of these babies yet? They look lush.

Ali,
I just bought the RS200.
has plenty of features and I think it is just the job for day to day training, allowing you to measure training quality accurately without all the wistles and bells. (even if I was at the top of my game this would give me what I needed to train to peak fitness). It is the 'Sport Zone' facility that gives me what I want - a record of how much time I have spent at specific effort levels during my training. (the RS200 has 5 similtaneous zones - something I've been waiting for them to do for years)
the 200 is a nice piece of kit - it has lots of features, some of which don't interest me, but what is really great is that it is progammable ( with easy to follow menus) to display the stuff I am interested in and ignore what I'm not - meaning I don't have to navigate endless and complicated menus to get to what I want to know.
What the RS200 doesn't have is the massive memory of the 800 or the ability to record a continous HR profile (but then I've never found the need for that) - allowing me to spend just £90 instead of the £280 / £350 for the RS800 / RS800sd - note these are exactly the same watch but the sd means you get the 'foot pod' which measures distance run, and allows speed display also - I guess if you were a road or track runner that would be a useful thing).
The 800 seems to have all sorts of other whistles and bells, which are not always well explained on the web site but I think maybe help you target your training effort - I'd be interested to understand how accurately they can do this compared to laboratory testing - but then a laboratory test will cost less than the £190 price difference...
So my opinion, yeah nice, but how much value will you get out of the extra £190 it cost over the RS200 / sd ?
