Does anyone have a camelbak Alterra or Flashflo??? They are the bumbag style ones. If so, how much room do they have for stuff like sweets, super-lightweight jacket/trousers and stuff like that.
I have used the catalyst, which is really comfortable, but it doesnt really have any room for anything. When the bladder is full one can get just about squeeze in a pack of jelly babbies.

I think Jamie Stevenson was testing one of those camelbak bumbag things in Japan for WOC as far as i remember. Don't know if it was either of the ones you've mentioned though.

Me
I have an alterra, it has 2 convenient montane jacket/trouser sized zippered pockets on the back. It has two gel sized pouches on the belt at the front.
oh, and a bungee chord bit so you can attach other stuff
Pretty good.
I got it a few weeks ago from Nevisport on Rose Street as a sale item £10 off (so £25)- it was the last one.
You could check out the Shandwick Place store

for me, yes. i used to hate bumbags because until recently they were poorly designed, just a belt with a bag on it. these new camelbak ones are really comfortable to wear, unlike the shoulder strap ones, which are just not suited for running in.
their capacity is lower than the other ones though, but still got plenty. the alterra is great, but only the orange one.
