I am up to 650km with my Mudclaw 300's - in all sorts of off-road terrain - training, orienteering and hill running with no heel blister problems. Still got lots of grip and very little wear and tear. I did have heel problems with one of the original pairs of Innov8's many years ago but have recently gone through 2 pairs of the old style X-Talons and the 300's with no problems. I also have a pair of ORoc 340's but I am not convinced by the grip - might be an advantage on bare rock or ice - and they are fairly heavy and wide.
I changed from the X-Talons as they have fairly thin soles and I did have a problem with bruising on the ball of my foot. No such problem with the 300's, although they do get quite heavy when wet - best to get them wet before you run and get the laces tight as they do stretch a little. Might try the 265's when I need a new pair - particularly as I see from the Innov8 website that they have strengthened the uppers.

Re: inov8 'o' shoes
Thanks for responses. I've discovered my regular trail running pal has same sized feet as me and wears Mudclaw 300s for most of his muddy runs so I'm gonna pinch his shoes for a test run or two. Will see how I find them.
