My orienteering shoes are wrecked.
I want some new ones. I want something grippy (possibly dobs) but a lot lighter on the foot than twisters//integrators//K100s
Maybe something different.
Any ideas?
Im a bit dubious of paying lots of cash for a pair of mountain bears or Innov8's.
(this should prolly be on the review section but i want more people to read it)

Drew, be a real man, and start a trend of running bare foot, you get to feel the ground more, and will be at one with it.

Just seen this... best place to get shoes is the O shop in Tampere - the gut will do mail order etc etc & usually has big sizes in. Same lot as do the big shop at Jukola etc. It's also where we got cheap ankle tape when I worked for GBR & Dave G gets tape there now for Interlopers... I'd need to dig out the contact details if you were interested

Get yourself a pair of olway tigers. Grippy, comfy, tough and fairly light. My pair have lasted 19 months and are still surviving.

Chris obviously your not beasting them enough!
Does anyone know if theres any dobs out there that have the uppers sown into the soles? Twisters always come apart on the inside, where the glue is just not strong enough....

The sole came almost completely off one of my twisters after about a year and the other one seemed to be coming loose. However, I pulled them both off, cleaned them, and stuck them on again with 'shoe goo' from ultrasport. Since then I have only worn them for unimportant events (whatever these are), convinced they would fall apart again, but they've survived a year and look like outlasting my other pair.
And yes, I am aware one shouldn't say 'almost completely'

yeah, i'd forgotten about them for 3 weeks, but now for all you lucky people comes the latest thrilling installment...
having failed to find any shoes that fit down here in the skånsk depths, i resorted to glueing the sole back on with araldite. this seemed to work and i have been out running in these shoes a good bit since with no obvious deterioration. until saturday, when the other sole started to fall off also. i am therefore now in the process of glueing this back on, but will almost certainly be buying some new shoes at the weekend anyway, not least because my efforts to repair the increasing number of holes in the uppers have been less succesful.

for some reason im having the same problem (dunno why tho!) , i've got walshes (red and green) n the soles are falling off, i've had them for over two years now, which is why, every event i need to sit and wrap tape around them, cos they've been glued twice, (god no's what with) and my gaiters, which are also falling apart!! lol, but anyway, my main problem is finding shoes to fit, because kids shoes never last as their not made to be used running through brambles.....but im only a size 2 1/2 so never seem to be able to find adult sizes, any ideas where i might be able to???

Well, my dear friend Ian at ultrasport has just sold me a dinky pair of size 3 1/2 Integrators - you know with studs on the bottom - and I must say I'm very impressed - they are very light weight and comfortable and not too stiff like the last pair( which played up my rhuematic toes) - I think they may go down even smaller.
