Crap name, but top shoe!
Most of you have probably heard of the Running Bear brand, most runners seem to own a few pairs of the socks. Running Bear recently took over the old Fell Dancer company.
Runniing Bear have added a new shoe to the old Fell Dancer line-up: The Gladiator. The Gladiator is almost identical to the old ETA racer, which some of you older guys might remember. In fact the sole is an ETA sole. The uppers are much better finished than Walsh's and have metal eyelets, which means you can get them nice and tight without fear of tearing. They don't appear to stretch that much once wet, unlike old blue Walsh's.
I have used them loads over the past few months and, so far, are still in top condition. The uppers are still in one piece. The soles have started to lose the sharp edges off the studs, but still have loads of grip. They slip on rock, but what doesn't, other than dobs.
I will be using them throughout the year in all the Fell Races I do, at every distance. They are cheaper than Walsh's; Last longer; Grip just as well; Lighter and in my opinion more comfortable.

Running bear is my local running shop. the guys and gals there are so hellpful, it is diculous. I have got to mention one of their products,
Their Fell Shirts - Fleecy long-sleeved and just the right temperature for those blustery evenings whn you just don't want to run (they do exist!!!)
They are cheap as cheaps (well about 9 bags of chips) I recommend both the zipped and non-zipped versions

Now, I know you're a feminist, and I think that's adorable, but this is grown-up time and I'm the man.
