On tent matters there doesn't look like there's too much room for pies in the Laserlite - although it is light, so if you wanted to do mountain marathons it would probably be good. I bought a Vango Hydra 200+ which is 4x the weight, but I prefer the extra room for all my o-kit and clothes on a 6-day (not to mention the pies).
Try http://www.gearzone.co.uk for a good deal on most camping stuff.
Maybe...

wouldn't get a north face one, had a starfire a few years back and it was pants, well really good but you couldn't cook inside it and the door only opened from the bottom up which is useless.
terra nova tents are good, as are marmot ones i think thats what my dad has got.

I've had the north face tadpole 23 for a few years now and its an excellent tent. Its light, well built and durable. It's been able to cope with anything i've used it for. it's a bit of a squash for two people and a lot of kit but just get snuggled up and you'll be fine!
Other tents i'd recommend:
Tera nova voyager
Mountain equipment dragonfly
MSR sidewinder 2

...and if you look on Terra Nova's website, they have a 'slight seconds' shop so you can get good tents cheap.
Using a Salewa Micra at the mo, nice, cheap, light (1.5kg). Has been good on Polaris events. Also a Pheonix Phoxhole bivvy, but that's not really 1 1/2 person...
