my personal selection has now been burnt onto one mofo psych-up cd including the likes of:
come with me - puff daddy
till i collapse - eminem
jump - girls aloud (for those rocky-esque freestylee jumpin routines)
nightmare - brainbug
that classic jacko vs ghostbusters mix
and of course a number of tracks from the rocky soundtrack
speakin of which, was out for a hill session over xmas, when i got the most motivation i have ever had on a training session.
was just doing my final set of strides when i noticed a couple of scallies coming towards me, as i slow down, they start running towards me. as they get closer, i start to hear this music - turns out they've got eye of the tiger on a mini boombox as they come running past me. they happened to be going up the same hill i was about to start on, and as i go past the one with the stereo tries to run with me - he lasts about 10metres (i know, poor show, but even scallies can run fast for that distance). but the music stayed in my head for the whole session, and that first interval i managed to take a whopping 7 seconds off my p.b. for the 400m hill. now that's motivation...
